Solid alcohol), an antiseptic agent, a corrosion inhibitor.
  • HEXANE (normal hexane), ÑÍ3 (ÑÍ2) 4-ÑÍ3, a colourless liquid, têèï 68,74 °S. It is contained in petroleum; at their chemical processing (napr., reforming) turns to benzole; at an isomerization will derivate izogeksan - a high-octane component of engine fuels. It is applied as the solvent and a liquid in frigorimeters.
  • GEKSAFERRITY, ferrites with hexagonal crystalline structure. Are most distributed geksaferrity with formula (MO) (Fe2Î3) 6, where M - Va, Sr or Pb.
  • HEXACHLORETHANE, Ñ2Ñl6, colourless crystals, tïë 187 °S. A replacer of camphor in manufacture of a nitrate cellulose, an intensifier of a luminescence of pyrotechnic structures, the smoke generator (in a mix with some metals), a helminthicide for animal.
  • CUBE (from grech. hex - six and hedra - an edge), a hexahedron, routinely correct hexahedron, i.e. a cube.
  • GEKSLI Î., see Haksli About.
  • GEKSLI (Haksli) (Huxley) Thomas Genri (1825-95), the English biologist, colleague C.Darvina and the most outstanding propagandist of his doctrine, foreign corresponding member Petersburg AN (1864). The president (1883-85) London royal societies. Rather - anatomic probes, has proved morphological affinity of the person and the maximum monkeys, birds and kowtowing, medusas and polyps. Has advanced and has justified regulations about unity of a structure of a skull for vertebrates.
  • HEXOGEN (tsiklotrimetilentrinitramin), vysokobrizantnoe a blasting explosive. A white crystalline powder. Heat of explosion of 5,5 MDZH/KG. It is water-resistant. It is applied in an ammunition, a detonating cord, in structures to shaped charges, etc.
  • HEXOSES, monosaccharides which molecules contain 6 atoms of carbon. To hexoses concern a glucose, a galactosis, a fructose, etc.
  • HECTARE (from a hecto... And the are), a unit of area in a metrical measurement, is meant ga. 1 ga - 100 are - 10000 m2.
  • HECTO... (from grech. hekaton - hundred), a prefix for education of names of aliquot units, to equal 100 initial units. A contracted notation-. Napr., 1 gPa (hectopascal) - 100 Pa.
  • The HECTOGRAPH (from a hecto... And... Columns), the elementary device for reproduction of the text and case histories. It is invented in Russia M.I.Alisovym in 1869. On the hectograph received up to 100 copies of a first copy.
